Where they are strong
- It is the source of truth. Every number in every app on this page, ours included, comes from Google’s API and is a view onto this.
- It is complete. Manual actions, security issues, Discover and News reports, the full Page Indexing report, removals, links, Core Web Vitals and rich-result reports are all here and are not all in the API.
- It is free, it needs no install, and Google is not going to discontinue it.
- You can verify a new property there. No third-party app can do that for you.
Where they fall short
- No push notifications for traffic changes. Search Console emails you about critical issues, but nothing tells you that Tuesday’s clicks fell 40 percent.
- No home-screen or Lock Screen widgets.
- Switching between twenty client properties on a phone means a dropdown, a reload, and a scroll, every time.
- It is a desktop interface rendered small: dense tables, horizontal scrolling and taps that want a cursor.
- No client-ready export from a phone — nothing you would send to a client as-is.
What QueryWatch does differently
- We are not a replacement for Search Console and do not pretend to be. We read the same data through Google’s public API and add the parts a phone needs.
- Alerts: the relay checks every six hours and pushes when your thresholds break, so you find out the same day.
- Widgets: the number is on the home screen before you unlock the phone.
- Portfolio view: every property in one list, grouped by client, with a sparkline each.
- Reports: CSV of the current view for free, and a branded or white-label PDF on Pro.
- Offline: the last data you loaded is still readable on a plane or in a lift.
